KCI Drama has a strong tradition of excellent, award-winning productions in the annual one-act National Theatre School Drama Festival (Formerly the Sears Ontario Drama Festival).
2018 National Theatre School Drama Festival: Peter/Wendy
After focusing our attention last year on our collaborative production of "The Addams Family - A New Musical Comedy", KCI Drama is very excited to return to the 72nd Annual National Theatre School Drama Festival (formerly the Sears Ontario Drama Festival) with our production of Jeremy Bloom's "Peter/Wendy" (Based on the novel by J.M. Barrie).
In this lyrical, atmospheric interpretation of Peter Pan, Jeremy Bloom strips the familiar story down to its emotional essence. Peter lures Wendy away from her nursery to the magical world of Neverland, where she joins his adventures with Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily, and the menacing Captain Hook. A low-tech, inventive adaptation that pays homage to the darker themes of J. M. Barrie's original, Peter/Wendy will mesmerize audiences of all ages. (Playscripts.com)
KCI performed "Peter/Wendy" at Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School on Thursday, March 1st and in our KCI Auditorium on Tuesday, March 6th at 7pm.
