Digital Program

STREET WISE
Written and Directed by Locke Amaral and Spencer Merino

Sam Hill, an uncomfortable, out-of-place gangster in 1920's Atlantic City finally masters a skill he’s never had in his life: the art of social interaction. With Sam’s newfound skills, he becomes the fast-talking, wisecracking, charismatic bootlegger he’s always wanted to be, and attracts his fair share of moochers, schmoozers…and deadly threats to boot. This Prohibition-era farce combines one-liners, slapstick, flappers, robbery, assassins, and a fierce musical rivalry. Sam Hill's story explores what it means to be STREET WISE...and whether it’s all it’s cracked up to be.
LOST IN TRANSLATION
Written and Directed by Sophia Fedotenko and Adele Melamud

If the universe gives you one shot at connection, would you fight to keep it alive? In Lost in Translation, a digital portal connects busy New York and quiet London. Through this window across the world, two men—Oliver, a confident American actor, and Nick, a reserved Brit burdened by his family—develop an unexpected connection. Every day, they meet to build a world of their own. But when Nick’s past starts resurfacing, will he choose to move forward? Lost in Translation is a story about love, fear, and the spaces we create in between.
THE ODYSSEY
Adapted by R.N. Sandberg from Homer's epic story
Directed by Ridley Coates and Zane McKinnon

Homer’s epic is given new strength by playwright R.N. Sandberg. This legend explores the heroic challenges that Odysseus faces on his journey returning home from the Trojan War. While Odysseus fights ferociously, his son Telemachus grows into himself and finds himself facing his own challenges at home awaiting his father’s return. This story of terrible monsters, conniving tricksters, and raging seas holds up to its millenia old roots and embraces new meanings.
