Thank you so much to everyone who came out to see KCI Drama’s 2025 production SPOTLIGHT, our first ever student-directed night of one-act plays! SPOTLIGHT hit the stage on Thursday, May 1st and Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 7pm in our Auditorium! We will not soon forget Street Wise, Lost in Translation, and The Odyssey!

STREET WISE
Written and Directed by Locke Amaral and Spencer Merino
Sam Hill, an uncomfortable, out-of-place gangster in 1920's Atlantic City finally masters a skill he’s never had in his life: the art of social interaction. With Sam’s newfound skills, he becomes the fast-talking, wisecracking, charismatic bootlegger he’s always wanted to be, and attracts his fair share of moochers, schmoozers…and deadly threats to boot. This Prohibition-era farce combines one-liners, slapstick, flappers, robbery, assassins, and a fierce musical rivalry. Directed by Ridley Coates and Zane McKinnon Homer’s epic is given new strength by playwright R.N. Sandberg. This legend explores the heroic challenges that Odysseus faces on his journey returning home from the Trojan War. While Odysseus fights ferociously, his son Telemachus grows into himself and finds himself facing his own challenges at home awaiting his father’s return.
